60-Second Sales Coach [Special Tribute to Zig Ziglar]

SPECIAL EXCLUSIVE SERIES (Feb 4-Feb 15): 10 Previously Unreleased Clips of Keith Rosen’s Interview With Zig Ziglar. Follow tribute here.

As we kick off a New Year, many of us take time to set goals and make plans for the New Year. We also tend to reflect back on the ups and downs of the year that just passed. As I pondered which moments of 2012 stood out to me the most, I kept finding myself thinking of the passing of the great Zig Ziglar. Zig’s message was so instrumental in helping me find my own way in life and business. He gave of himself so completely and honestly to millions of people. As I pondered the many distinct moments throughout the years when my life had been enriched by him and his message, I was filled with a sense of responsibility–duty almost. Zig would have never ask to be honored or memorialized, he was always too busy lifting up others and inspiring them to greatness; but it’s something I feel moved to do for very personal reasons.

[blockquote_styled sign=”Zig Ziglar”]You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.[/blockquote_styled]

As these thoughts began to take shape in my mind, I remembered that I had the distinct privilege of spending the day with Zig, just him, myself and his son Tom, a few years ago. During that day, I had the pleasure of interviewing Zig and had been saving the video segments from that interview for a new project I’m working on. I had in my possession, some rare footage of Zig discussing many of the things closest to his heart. He spoke of family, his wife, integrity, spirituality in the profession of selling, leadership, accountability and several stories from his early years. It was at that point that I decided that these video clips shouldn’t be kept secret any longer. They needed to be shared.

These 10 clips are going to be featured as a special installment of my 60-Second Sales Coach series. They will form the backbone of a 2-week tribute to Zig Ziglar (Feb 4 – Feb 15) that I hope will enrich your life and help others better appreciate what an amazing contributor to society Zig Ziglar was.
