Ask Yourself:

  1. Are my efforts and actions enhancing my life or consuming my life?
  2. Do people disappoint me?
  3. Do I try to control outcomes and other people?
  4. Am I hard on yourself?
  5. Do I want to continue doing things the way I am doing them now for the next thirty years?
  6. What am I afraid of? What am I trying to avoid?
  7. What am I trying to do or create perfectly? What result am I pushing to achieve?
  8. Do your find it difficult to live up to your high standards? Are you frustrated when people don’t live up to your standards?

If you’re striving for perfectionism or find yourself trying to control everything, consider that the more you try to control the results you want and every aspect of your life, including other people, the less control you actually have. In fact, striving for perfection will sabotage your confidence, success, happiness, relationships and freedom.
