An Illustrated Sales Training Book
Green Deals and Spam
When I first learned to sell, back in the day, my manager told me, “Read this. Okay?” Not a sales manual. Not a quota or a plan. He handed me a copy of, “Green Eggs and Ham.“
I laughed at the thought that this sales training book would help.
It felt odd and unclear.
Dr. Seuss’s children’s book for a sales career?
But when I slowed down and actually looked.
I finally understood that little green book.
It wasn’t about eggs. It wasn’t about ham.
It wasn’t about closing or being, “the man.”
It was learning, grit, patience and staying the course.
Listening longer instead of using force.
It was about care without pressure. Curiosity first.
Choosing to serve, not quench your own thirst.
So, I asked myself one quiet day,
What if selling could be taught in the same way?
That question became a story.
That story became art.
And the art became this book
About where real selling starts.
Over the years, I heard it again and again. “The best sales training book ever written.”
At first, it sounded ridiculous. Then I realized it’s not about selling green eggs and ham. This book on sales training is about overcoming adversity, grit, persistence, leading with curiosity care, and patience. It’s about seeking to serve, and creating the moment a buyer finally decides for themselves to buy.
What if salespeople had an illustrated book that stripped selling back to its purest foundation?
Listening and asking questions instead of pitching. Staying present instead of forcing outcomes. Earning trust one conversation at a time.
Salespeople will learn in an entertaining way how to develop core selling skills, overcome adversity, build grit, persistence, and essential core selling mindset to sell more and accelerate revenue.
That’s why I wrote this sales book.
Use this for your next sales meeting and book club to ignite interest, engagement, and fun or for your children’s bedtime story to teach them the one skill they’ll use in every profession! You can find more resources on my blog.
