Zig Ziglar shares with Keith Rosen why he believes there is a place for spirituality in the sales profession.

During the process of developing the right interview questions to ask Zig during our time together back in 2009, out of sheer curiosity, I happened to find my way onto Amazon.com to see where his most popular book, Secrets of Closing The Sale was ranked . I wasn’t surprised to find that this book was rated number 15 on Amazon.com in the category of Sales and Selling. However, I did find it fascinating to see that this same book was ranked number 3 in the category of spirituality!

In this brief interview, Zig Ziglar shares why he believed his book, Secrets of Closing the Sale, was ranked as the third most popular book on Amazon in the category of spirituality. He attributed this partially to his writing as well as his core beliefs. One of those beliefs  is that there is only one way to do things and that’s the right way. Zig also mentioned how he was always able to communicate to whoever he was working with or for, that this is who I am and what I am and what I stand for. These core beliefs fostered deeper connections with all the people Zig met and worked with throughout his life. In essence, from Zig’s point of view, spirituality is not just about religion but more about connection. That is, how connected you are to yourself and to others.

It was a privilege and honor to spend a day with Zig Ziglar, one one one, in 2009 at his corporate office in Dallas. We did this series of interviews, which never aired. In honor of Zig Ziglar, I’m dedicating these videos in his memory. We are forever grateful for Zig’s wisdom and the gifts he has given to all of us over the years. His words and inspiration will continue to impact us today and for many generations to come.
